B7: Fluent Matching


To use: There are 10 template task cards with 100 matching flashcards included. I would recommend keeping 2 of these separate in an assessment file so that children are not as familiar with these when assessing their ability to match fluently. The other cards can be used for direct and explicit teaching of the skill, beginning with matching 1, then 2, then 3 and so on. I tend to use a blank white laminated sheet to hide the excess visuals on the task template when building up to matching 10. Once children are proficient and confident matching up to 5, I then introduce a timer as a fun but also assessing aspect for timing the matching.
